Job candidates have a negative attitude when they go for a interviews. Over excitement, over confidence, nervousness are some of the major drawbacks of a candidate. The portfolios and a heavy resume is not enough to satisfy the HR who interviews. Interviews are always perceived by the
job candidates as a nightmare but only a few know that it can also be enjoyable and informative. The more interviews you attend, more of exposure and knowledge you gain as confronting variety of questions and scenarios gives you more experience.
There are many do's and don'ts that are to be followed while answering to the HR in an interview but one silly or useless answer can sound offensive or lose their interest in hiring you. They hate to hear few things from the candidate. So all first timers make a note of these tips, that you should not speak to an HR in an interview.
Don't say "I am too strong to handle any situation" This depicts that you are over confident and totally fake. Admit your weakness as you can further work on it and correct yourself. The Over confidence nature will portray you as a person who will be very easily influenced by your surroundings or other people and who cannot make self decisions. Weakness does work at times. Being too friendly to the employees and not getting involved in gossips are called as "positive weaknesses."
No Criticizing of former co worker or boss: Criticizing your former boss in any way will leave a very wrong impression. The HR may conclude thinking you may do the same thing once you
leave their company too. Do not complain or detail all the problems you faced with your old colleague and why you left the old workplace. Make things crisp and short.
Mind your language: If you are religious, racist, a chauvinist or a feminist keep it with you. Don't share it with anyone and especially not with the HR who is interviewing. The workplace
is always maintained in a balanced manner and people are treated equally. They want people caliber and will power to do things and succeed and promote any kind of racist activities.
Always have questions for the HR: When the interview is at the verge of getting over the HR always asks if you have any doubts or questions to ask, don't ever say "No" thinking you are acti
ng too clear and grabbed all the things you wanted to know. HR may think you don't have must interest in the company and not a smart person. They expect a lot of inquisitiveness, as it shows how enthusiastic you are. Throw back at least two to three sensible questions which would change the whole impression even if you were a flop from the start of the interview. Research about the company before you attend the interview as it can be very helpful in asking questions.
HR is not interested in listening to your life story: HR starts the interview by asking you to talk about what are you and some more briefings. It actually means he wants to know about your s
chooling, higher education, work experience, achievements and your hobbies. This is a weapon they use to check your communication skill and how expressive you are. Don't ever go beyond these for giving the answers. Don't give irrelevant details about yourself which is of no worth as this may bore the HR and assume that you too weak in interaction.
